The junior room’s winter educational trip took place on St. Mogue’s Day (January 31^st). The boys and girls had a wonderful day, that began with a boat trip to St. Mogue’s Island where they got a guided tour the island and the church remains by Aidan Brady. They then visited the holy water font in St Aidan’s church Bawnboy, which is said to be part of the flagstone that carried St. Mogue across the lake to be baptised by St. Caillin. The children ended their trip with a visit to Ballyconnell library for storytelling.
