In March 2016, our school commemorated the 100th anniversary of the 1916 Easter Rising by hosting a Proclamation Day. A number of events took place in the school including: a ceremony where our national flag was raised; a recital of Irish songs; an art display an exhibition of projects about the 1916 Rising; and a DVD screening of the re-enactment of the events of the Easter Rising.
