The Saint Mogue’s Céilí Band was formed over 50 years ago by local musicians Seamus McGovern, Seamus Smith and PJ Flood. We have revived the band in recent years here in St.
Mogue’s National School. Our band consists of members from every class in the school with a variety of instruments including tin whistles, flutes accordion, concertina, banjo and guitar.
The band is made up of Lucy Maguire, Seamus and Mark Edwards, Donal Corrigan, Ruairi McManus, James McManus, James Wetherall, Diarmuid McGovern, Fiachra McManus, Sean Brady, Amy Cosgrove, Sarah Maguire, Sam Maguire. Past members include Bláthnaid Smith and Brónagh Brady.
