The STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Maths) fair took place in the sports complex in Ballinamore on Thursday 27th February. The boys and girls in 4th, 5th & 6th class showcased seven projects that explored the following questions: What do we cry? Is “cracking” your fingers bad for you? How much sugar are children really consuming? How do wounds heal? Should we invest in solar panels? Why does hearing deteriorate with age? What is best design for paper airplanes? It was a wonderful event and the children thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
