We celebrated World Book Day on March 7th. Well done to all the children (and teachers!) who dressed up as characters from their favourite books. All of the costumes were excellent and showed fabulous creativity.
‘Buddy reading’ took place in the hall where the older children demonstrated reading skills and then listened to their younger buddy’s reading. Buddy Reading allows younger readers to hear what fluent reading sounds like, and the older students develop social and emotional skills like patience and empathy as they work with their little buddies.
